Lakeside Forest Retreat

This was a great place for our wedding, we had our friends and family with us and it was sooooo much fun. Beautiful place with a great view of your own personal lake. There’s otters, herons and eagles that live at the lake and we saw them all constantly which was fun. Would love to come back for our anniversary.

Beautiful and peaceful location! What an amazing piece of property!!! We loved eating our meals and watching the wildlife on the lake. We had the best dinner one night watching a mother bear and her cub, play in the water and eat… watched them for nearly an hour. BRING BINOCULARS! The house had everything and the management company was very communicative and our weekend was amazing!

It’s a great place for a getaway that allows pets. Since it’s rented via the rental company, you are assigned an assistant that can get some improvements. There is a lot of unnecessary communication like “don’t forget you checkout” sent to you via Airbnb app, texts and email. I think for the price it should have better amenities (e.g they didn’t have black pepper) and cleaning (when we arrived shower was wet and since the floor is made of rock/cement it’s hard to understand if it was cleaned and we saw some hair). The bathroom tub had mold on the water stopper so we had to wipe it before using. We haven’t seen any animals but a lot of signs about bears around Hot tub was fine, had some sand at the bottom. They do have a bbq in the garage even though it’s not listed on Airbnb. Location is great that allows you to drive ~35 min to the Seaside Beach and ~10min to the city with groceries.

This property is a fantastic retreat—secluded, tranquil, and with stunning lake views. The grounds are beautiful, and the beds are very comfortable, making it easy to relax. The TV room is perfect for unwinding at the end of the day. However, the hot tub could use some attention; the jets weren’t functioning, and the cover has noticeable mold, which could be an issue for those with allergies. Also, if you're bringing pets or kids, be mindful of the “Watch For Bear” signs around the property. While we didn’t see any bears during our stay, it’s worth keeping in mind. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would consider returning.

Excellent! The house gave us a chance to reconnect with family as well as with friends who came for the weekend and with friends who live in the area. We saw kites for the festival and enjoyed pizza at Chico's. Enjoyed dinners at both Drop Anchor and Lost Roo. The flock of geese that flew in each morning to Freshwater Lake was a treat to watch. The dogs enjoyed the yard. Although there were signs for bears, we never saw one. I recommend bringing binoculars if you have them to view the wildlife on and around the lake. We are already talking of returning next year. Thank you for a wonderful and relaxing time.

The house was fabulous! The view of Freshwater Lake was peaceful. There was a flock of about a dozen geese that flew in every morning. We really enjoyed ourselves and would stay there again.

I stayed at the Lakeside Forest retreat and absolutely loved it. The house was larger than I expected from the pictures and the lake view is gorgeous. The house and surroundings were so peaceful. This is the perfect place to relax and take a break. Bloomer customer service was extraordinary and I received responses to requests and questions within minutes. When I return to Long Beach, I will definitely book through them again.

Everything was spotless and the house was amazing! I know I may sound silly, but I was obsessed with the little “stars” that sparkled on the ceiling! I kept bumping into things staring at them. The lake is literally right behind the house and the view was breathtaking. We sat on the dock for hours just looking at the beauty of it all. Downtown and stores are really close! The beds were amazingly comfortable and it really was a lovely trip. We had to leave an hour after checkout and they accommodated all of our needs! I definitely plan on returning!

Absolutely beautiful home and outdoor space. The view from almost every window was breathtaking, even the windows from the soaking tub. We had perfect weather and this was just what we need to escape the city. Bird songs and frogs serenaded us each day and night. Don't hesitate to book this gem.

We loved this home. It was perfectly beautiful and comfortable. The surroundings can't be beat. It's just a short drive to the beach and shops, which was perfect for us. We will definitely be back!

Amazing spot! Beautiful and convenient

We had a wonderful time in that beautiful house. It was so comfortable and well furnished. The temperature was perfect and the mosquitoes were practically non-existent — we spent almost all our time out on the deck. We cruised the lake on our canoe and walked the trails with the dogs. We visited Oysterville for some good food.

This home was absolutely beautiful and very well decorated. The lake was an amazing bonus and we loved enjoying our morning coffee while watching the wildlife and the kids were able to explore the back yard. Great games/toys for the kids to play with, they loved the movie room and the beds were all very comfortable. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the walking trail in front of the home. We cant wait to stay here again very soon!

Awesome stay. Great location, dog friendly, private, and peaceful. Amber was awesome and very responsive and the cleaning crew did a fantastic job. I loved the quality of the house, my dog loved the grounds, and the private lake was very peaceful. I'll be back in July.

This is our second time staying at Lakeside. We always enjoy it because it’s quiet you have everything at this home and at the same time you enjoy the retreat aspect of it.

Our family stayed in this house between Christmas and New Year’s this year and absolutely loved our stay! We’ve binged plenty of TV and enjoyed the hot tub and surrounding area. House was very clean and beautifully designed. If you’re cooking bacon in the kitchen, we recommend standing with your back to the pond and listening to the echo in the kitchen... It sounds exactly like a rain storm! The painted ceilings just add to the experience. We will absolutely be staying here again!

Highly recommend - Exceptionally clean and peaceful house. Whole house was very equipped and plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Bloomer Estates Vacation Rentals did a fantastic job and were very helpful and super easy to work with. Great experience overall and would definitely come back. Very pet friendly

Nice property! Location is great and the lake view is gorgeous. The only issue is the lack of hot water for shower. We have a group of 6 people and after two people took a 10 mins showers we already ran out of hot water.

Everything was fantastic; home is beautiful with up to date everything and very clean. Furnished well and had a hot tub, beatiful view, TV family room, and extras like games and toys for the kids. Only 10 minutes from Long Beach and being inland some helps block the wind on those windy days. Would definitely recommend for a family vacation/getaway. If you plan on riding bikes, etc. you probably want to go into town or beach for that. Not really any roads around for that since most are private; same with jogging.

Beautiful home located on a small lake. The way the property sits on the lake, it feels like you are the only house there. Interesting details like a starry kitchen sky and lots of ambient lighting. Cute little trail you can take to that leads in a circle. Great place for a family to disconnect and enjoy nature.
